Kitchen Backsplash Inspiration.

I first heard about bead board as a kitchen back splash on Country Girl Home last week, and I am smitten! It looks so pretty and fresh when painted white.  Remember my secret plan to paint my kitchen robin's egg blue?  I finally mentioned it to Darryl and he didn't hate the idea!  Yay!  I think it will be a lot of work, but well worth it.  So the other little thing that needs changing in the kitchen is the back splash situation.  Right now it's fake tile.  As in, tile looking stuff that comes on a roll.  Bleh.  So here is some inspiration:

I love this glossy blue back splash - so pretty.

More bead board inspiration, this time a laundry room.  I love the way it's carried over onto the cabinets, too.

Tile back splashes are traditional, and I love the simplicity and geometric look of this kitchen. I think I'm leaning toward the bead board - I love the clean look of it when painted white.  Now I just have to figure out when we're going to get started on this little project.

  1. The bead board kitchen isn't at all our style but I just fell in love with the concept for our laundry room... my husband's going to hate that idea!

  3. Wow - thanks for the idea! We bought a foreclosed home about two years ago and haven't gotten to the kitchen yet. There are holes in the walls and no doors on the cabinets.. it's a complete mess! A bead board backsplash would fit in quite well and be really inexpensive. yay! :)

  7. Wonderful inspiration pictures! Our kitchen has wood cabinets and I really want to paint them white, but my hubby says no way. Bead board is a great idea for a backsplash, though! :)
